Tejashwi Yadav’s Bold Election Promise
As the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections approaches, Tejashwi Yadav, a prominent leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), announced during an election rally on Tuesday (October 28) that if the Mahagathbandhan comes to power, the ban on Tadi will be lifted from the state’s liquor prohibition laws. Currently, the sale and consumption of Tadi are prohibited under these regulations.
Opposition to Liquor Prohibition Policy Tejashwi’s Stance on Tadi
While addressing a rally in Parsa, Saran, Yadav expressed his disagreement with the liquor prohibition policy in Bihar. He asserted that the liquor ban and excise laws have completely failed, highlighting that home delivery of alcohol is available in the state, allowing people to easily access it.
A Vision for Development
Yadav stated that if they come to power, they will remove the restrictions on Tadi. He further claimed that the NDA government has failed to accomplish any significant development in 20 years, but the Bharatiya Janata Party could achieve it in just 20 months if elected. He emphasized that they only need 20 months to bring about this change.
Concerns Over Law and Order Bihar’s Law and Order Situation
Yadav also accused the NDA government of complete failure in maintaining law and order in Bihar. During a rally in Madhoura, he claimed that incidents of murder, robbery, kidnapping, and looting occur daily in Saran, yet Chief Minister Nitish Kumar shows no concern. He criticized the government’s insensitivity, stating that victims are never comforted by the authorities. Yadav urged voters to support the BJP for improved law and order, job creation, and grievance redressal.
