Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on August 30 ahead of the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, which is being held from August 31 to September 1. The visit is part of Modi’s four-day tour of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan aimed at strengthening India’s strategic engagement with Central Asia and expanding cooperation with countries in the region.
India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday delivered a strong message against terrorism at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Defence Ministers’ Meeting held in Bishkek, urging member nations to adopt a united and uncompromising stance against extremist threats.Addressing the high-level gathering, Singh emphasised that terrorism remains one of the most serious challenges to regional and global peace.
