Nepal Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak tendered his resignation to the Prime Minister during an emergency cabinet meeting held on Monday at the official residence of the Prime Minister in Baluwatar.
A petition was filed at the Supreme Court to protect Lumbini, birthplace of Lord Buddha and a UNESCO World Heritage site, which is at present under threat from local industries’ pollution.
