In response to the notice served by the Lok Sabha Speaker to the 20 rebel Trinamool Congress MPs who merged with NCPI, the MPs have written separate letters to the Speaker’s office seeking more time to submit their replies.
Three Lok Sabha MPs of the National Congress Progressive Initiative (NCPI) on Tuesday skipped the NDA parliamentary party’s weekly Mangal Milan meeting for the second time, bringing to the fore apparent differences within the 20-member breakaway Trinamool Congress (TMC) faction over its proximity to the BJP-led alliance.
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari is scheduled to meet 20 Lok Sabha MPs of Nationalist Citizens Party Of India (NCPI), who parted away from the TMC.
