New Delhi is set to host the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisers (NSAs) and High Representatives on National Security on June 22–23, 2026, under India’s BRICS chairmanship. The high-level gathering will bring together senior security officials from BRICS member nations to discuss key regional and global security issues, including counter-terrorism, strategic cooperation, cybersecurity, and multilateral coordination.

Chinese President [Xi Jinping]and Russian President [Vladimir Putin] are expected to travel to [New Delhi, India], for the high-profile 18th BRICS Summit on September 12 and 13, 2026, to address global governance reforms, boost local currency trade, and strengthen economic resilience under India’s chairmanship.

In a definitive signal of the shifting global order, India is set to host the pivotal BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on May 14–15, 2026. Chaired by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, the high-level summit at Bharat Mandapam serves as the cornerstone of India’s 2026 chairship, bringing together a newly expanded bloc that now represents nearly half the world’s population.

BRICS Summit,In a significant diplomatic engagement on the sidelines of the BRICS meeting, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held extensive talks, reaffirming their countries’ deepening strategic partnership and calling for a more balanced global order.During the meeting, both leaders emphasized strengthening bilateral ties across key sectors, including energy, trade, and defense.
