According to official data, the second phase of polling witnessed around 92.6% voter turnout across 142 constituencies. This followed an already impressive turnout in the first phase, which crossed 91%, setting the tone for what would become a record-breaking election. The cumulative turnout of both phases has now set a new benchmark in West Bengal’s electoral history, surpassing all previous records.
