A shocking incident has come to light from R G Kar Medical College and Hospital, where a man lost his life after getting trapped inside a malfunctioning lift.
The victim, reportedly in his early 40s, had visited the hospital with his family when the lift suddenly stopped working. He remained stuck inside for a prolonged period before being rescued.
After being taken out, he was immediately shifted to the emergency ward in critical condition. Despite efforts by doctors, he could not survive.
Family members have alleged negligence, claiming that no lift operator or immediate assistance was available at the time. The incident has triggered protests within the hospital premises, with demands for strict action against those responsible.
