Kolkata’s dry streak is officially over. Early Tuesday morning, the city saw its first significant rainfall in weeks, triggered by a surge of moisture from the Bay of Bengal. While the 5.9mm of rain brought relief, the IMD has issued a ‘yellow watch’ warning, advising residents to brace for more thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds throughout the day.
