The world’s most expensive civilian Earth imaging satellite, NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar Satellite), has launched from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh and has reached its orbit.
39 year old Indian Air Force pilot, Captain Shubhanshu Shukla creates history as the first Indian to set foot on the International Space Station during the Axiom 4 mission. Launched on June 25 from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida aboard SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft, aptly named Grace.
The Axiom mission 4 mission, carrying Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, has been postponed to June 10 from its earlier June 8 schedule making it the third delay since its initial May 29 target.
