The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday filed chargesheet against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in connection to the National Herald case. Congress leaders Sam Pitroda and Suman Dubey have also been named as accused in the chargesheet. In a joint memorandum, more than 120 leaders from various parties of the INDIA bloc have written to Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw urging the government to repeal a provision n the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act that dilutes the Right to Information (RTI) Act. The Bengal Cabinet has passed new rules for appointing the Director General of Police (DGP), sources told CNN-News18. Under these rules, a selection committee headed by a retired High Court judge will be responsible for appointing the DGP.
