Arvind Kejriwal campaigns with MK Stalin in Tamil Nadu Polls

In a significant show of opposition unity ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Arvind Kejriwal joined Chief Minister M. K. Stalin on the campaign trail, addressing rallies and participating in a high-energy roadshow in Chennai. The joint appearance underscores growing cooperation among regional parties seeking to strengthen their position against the BJP in key states.

Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), urged voters to support the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and praised Stalin’s governance model. He highlighted Tamil Nadu’s progress in sectors such as education, welfare, and infrastructure, describing it as an example of effective administration.

The AAP has not fielded candidates in the Tamil Nadu elections and has instead extended support to the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance. Kejriwal’s participation in campaigning reflects a strategic political alignment, with opposition parties attempting to consolidate their vote base and present a united front.

During the rallies, both leaders targeted rival parties, emphasizing governance, development, and social welfare as key electoral issues. Stalin has been actively promoting his government’s achievements, including urban development initiatives like the “Chennai Super-6” plan aimed at transforming infrastructure in the state capital.

The Tamil Nadu election campaign has intensified in recent days, with multiple leaders entering the fray. Alongside Kejriwal, other national figures are also expected to campaign for their respective alliances, highlighting the high political stakes involved. The DMK is seeking to retain power by showcasing its governance record, while opposition parties are attempting to challenge its dominance.

The joint campaign by Kejriwal and Stalin is being viewed as a symbolic and strategic move, signaling broader opposition coordination at a national level. Analysts suggest that such alliances could play a crucial role not only in state elections but also in shaping future political dynamics across India.

As campaigning enters its final phase, the focus remains on voter turnout, alliance strength, and the effectiveness of last-minu outreach efforts by key political leaders.
