In a surprising revelation during interrogation, a Pakistani terrorist linked to the banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) reportedly underwent a hair transplant procedure in Kashmir after infiltrating India for terror operations, security officials said.The accused, identified as Mohammed Usman Jatt alias “Chinese,” is a resident of Lahore, Pakistan.
According to investigators, he had crossed into Jammu and Kashmir with plans to carry out terrorist activities and help strengthen LeT networks in the region. However, officials said his mission took an unexpected turn during his stay in Srinagar.During questioning, Jatt allegedly told investigators that he had long suffered from severe hair loss, which negatively affected his self-confidence. After learning about hair restoration facilities in Srinagar through local contacts, he decided to undergo a hair transplant procedure while hiding in the Valley.
Security agencies stated that the terrorist’s statements also revealed that the situation in Kashmir differed significantly from the narrative presented in terror camps across the border. Investigators claimed Jatt admitted that witnessing normal civilian life and daily activities in the Valley altered his perception during his stay.Jatt was arrested along with another Lashkar operative, Abdullah alias Abu Hureira, who is believed to be one of the longest-active LeT terrorists operating in Kashmir. Officials said the arrests were made during a joint counter-terror operation by Srinagar Police and security agencies.
The case has reportedly been transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) due to its links to cross-border terrorism and national security concerns. During interrogation, the accused allegedly provided details about infiltration routes, safe houses, and the network of overground workers assisting militants in Jammu and Kashmir.Security agencies have intensified operations in several parts of the Valley following the disclosures, while investigations into the terror network and its local support structure are continuing.
