Sidelined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha has launched a fierce counter-attack against his own party leadership following his removal as the Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha.

In a high-voltage video message released on Saturday, April 4, 2026, Chadha dismissed the allegations leveled against him as a “scripted campaign” and a “coordinated attack.”

Borrowing a powerful line from the recent blockbuster film Dhurandhar, he warned his detractors: “Ghayal hoon isliye ghatak hoon” (I am fatal because I am wounded).

The rift between the Rajya Sabha MP and the AAP leadership, including Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, became public after the party formally replaced him with Ashok Mittal and requested the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to bar Chadha from speaking during the party’s allotted time.

The party accused Chadha of being “compromised,” alleging that he failed to join Opposition walkouts and refused to sign an impeachment motion against the Chief Election Commissioner.

CM Bhagwant Mann went as far as to say that anyone who goes against the party whip will face consequences. In his video response, Chadha systematically tore into these claims, calling the “walkout” allegation a “blatant lie” and challenging the party to release CCTV footage of parliamentary proceedings to prove otherwise.

He further clarified that he was never formally asked to sign the motion against the CEC and noted that several other party MPs had also not signed it.

Defending his record, Chadha stated that he goes to Parliament to “create impact, not ruckus,” focusing on public issues like GST, inflation, and healthcare rather than engaging in “soft PR” or creating chaos for the cameras.
