A group of 24 students from the Scout & Guide Group of Howrah Modern School visited Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Barrackpore, on 26 September 2026 as part of an educational visit.
Exploring History and Heritage
The students were taken on a guided tour of the Museum’s galleries and exhibitions, where they learned about the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi and various aspects of India’s freedom movement.
Audio-Visual Learning and Gandhian Values
A documentary film on the Indian Freedom Movement was also screened in the Museum’s Audio-Visual Room.
The visit provided the students with a direct and educational experience of history, heritage and Gandhian values.
